The Founder’s Piece is the watch that started Morecambe Bay Watch Co.
Created before any production model existed, it was the first automatic watch commissioned by the company and one of only two examples ever produced. This particular watch is the sole example finished in this colour, featuring a custom-made dial and the original Morecambe Bay Watch Co logo.
Powered by the Miyota 9039 automatic movement, The Founder’s Piece predates every production model that followed and represents the moment an idea became a brand. As such, it occupies a unique place in the company’s history.
The successful buyer will receive a signed Certificate of Authenticity confirming its provenance, production history, and status as one of only two Founder’s Pieces ever created, and the only example manufactured in this configuration.
Whether viewed as a unique piece of company history or a collector’s gamble on the future of the brand, The Founder’s Piece is unlikely to ever be repeated.
